From Goodreads:
Now an active member of the resistance, Lena has transformed. The nascent rebellion that was underway in Pandemonium has ignited into an all-out revolution in Requiem, and Lena is at the centre of the fight. After rescuing Julian from a death sentence, Lena and her friends fled to the Wilds. But the Wilds are no longer a safe haven. Pockets of rebellion have opened throughout the country, and the government cannot deny the existence of Invalids. Regulators infiltrate the borderlands to stamp out the rebels.

As Lena navigates the increasingly dangerous terrain of the Wilds, her best friend, Hana, lives a safe, loveless life in Portland as the fiancée of the young mayor.Requiem is told from the perspectives of both Lena and her friend Hana. They live side by side in a world that divides them until, at last, their stories converge.

"We have chosen a different road. And in the end that is the point of escaping the cure: we are free to choose."

I started reading this series so long ago I can't believe I am actually sat here writing a review for the final book in the Delirium series. This has been such a long time coming and I am so glad that I finally caught up and finished this series. I don't really know how I feel right now about this book. I absolutely fell in love with Delirium back in 2011 and then I enjoyed Pandemonium enough.... I don't even know what to think about Requiem. I enjoyed the book and it definitely isn't as bad as some people make it out to be.... however.... what the heck was that ending?!?!

Honestly, I feel quite disheartened and disappointed with this one. I actually have so much love for this storyline and these characters and I have really enjoyed the entire series but I just feel like... it isn't finished. And not in a good, oh there might be a spin off, way but in a I turned the page and felt like there was some of the book missing kind of way. I feel like the book ended in the middle of a scene... I don't even know if most of the characters are alive or not. I'm all for an open ending but seriously.... there was no conclusion.... for any of the characters. It kind of hinted at a resolution of the love triangle but even then it was just a hint... nothing set in stone.

I am so very disappointed in the ending of Requiem. I love that it gave that hope for the future that is usually there in a dystopia novel but I just don't really feel like the series is finished. I really wish there was more of a resolution. To me this is the book equivalent of the TV show Angel's ending... as in there is no ending really. I wanted more.

I still enjoyed Requiem. It really is a great storyline and I am completely and utterly in love with Lauren Oliver's writing. It's so great and I will definitely be picking up her other books. I am so glad I finally finished the series but I really wish there had been a better ending. If you like set in stone endings then this one really isn't for you.
