From Goodreads:  When Digory and Polly discover Uncle Andrew's secret workshop, they are tricked into touching the magic rings which transport them to the Other Place. By even Uncle Andrew doesn't realise the wonders that await them, for here is the gateway to the Land of Narnia and the beginning of many wonderful adventures there...
"What you see and what you hear depends a great deal on where you are standing. It also depends on what sort of person you are."

I have been such a huge fan of The Chronicles of Narnia since I was a child. I remember my Mum reading these to me when I was young and I just fell in love with this magical world. After hearing about Netflix planning a Narnia series and actually doing them in chronological order this time I thought this was the perfect time for me to re-read the series. I haven't read the entire series so now is the perfect time.

The Magician's Nephew is set years before the events of the most beloved and well-known book in this series, The Lion The Witch and The Wardrobe. It follows a young Digory whose uncle is a self proclaimed magician. Using Digory and his friend Polly to test his magic he sends them into the Other Place. Somewhere that is a gateway for lots of different world.

I really enjoyed The Magician's Nephew. It isn't the most fascinating and fast-paced book of the series but I love that we get to see how everything in Narnia began. In the beginning of this book Narnia wasn't really a thing and is was through the actions of Digory and Polly along with a lion named Aslan that brings about the magical world of Narnia. I really enjoyed seeing how everything came together and sets everything up for the novels to come.

I really enjoyed reading The Magician's Nephew and I can't wait to continue reading them and finally finishing this series.

"Narnia, Narnia, Narnia, awake. Love. Think. Speak. Be walking trees. Be talking beasts. Be divine waters."
