From Goodreads:
Life as a half-mortal teenager should be epic.
But, for Helen Thomas, it's tragic.

She's just moved in with her dorky dad and self-absorbed older siblings - who happen to be the ancient Greek gods, living incognito in London!

Between keeping her family's true identities secret, trying to impress her new friends, and meeting an actually cute boy, Helen's stress levels are higher than Mount Olympus.

She needs to rein in her chaotic family before they blow their cover AND her chances at a half-normal social life.

Or is Helen fated for an embarrassment of mythical proportions?

Oh My Gods was a book I hadn't really heard of much until I was looking up the authors that were going to be attending this years Young Adult Literature Convention (YALC) in London. Seeing this book really intrigued me as the blurb really made this one sound like a contemporary book, but with a mixture of Greek Gods thrown in the mix. I am so glad I picked this book up because I really enjoyed it.

Oh My Gods follows the story of Helen. Helen has just moved in with her dad and siblings in London and she is trying to have a normal life, balancing school, friendships and maybe even a romance. The issue? She is living with the Greek Gods. Helen finds herself caught in between her powerful family and just wanting a normal life.

Now, anyone who knows me knows I freaking love anything with mythology, particularly the Greek Gods. My favourite book series of all time is the Covenant series by Jennifer L Armentrout which is all about the descendents of the Greek Gods so seeing the Greek Gods mentioned in this book is definitely what swayed me to pick this one up. I wasn't really sure what to expect because the storyline sounded really contemporary and I am not a huge fan of contemporary books.... However, I freaking loved this book! It's light, fun and absolutely hilarious.

Right from the start of Oh My Gods, I couldn't put it down. This is such an easy read. I recommend this book for anyone who wants a light hearted fun read but with a hint of a fantastical element. This book was the perfect read for me. I read it in one sitting as I was just enjoying it so much and the time just flew by. I was completely enamoured with everything. The writing, the storyline, the characters, it was all superbly perfected and I loved every moment of it.

I highly recommend Oh My Gods to anyone. It wasn't the best book I've ever read but it was never going to be my favourite because I love high fantasy books with all the tension and drama, but when you're looking for that fun, easy to read book it's perfect. I am praying that Alexandra Sheppard decides to turn this into a series because I could seriously read about these characters and their goings on in normal life all damn day. If you haven't picked up Oh My Gods yet... what the heck are you waiting for? Go buy it! Now!
