From Goodreads:
While Morganville, Texas, is often a troubled town, Claire Danvers and her friends are looking forward to coming home. But the Morganville they return to isn’t the one they know; it’s become a different place—a deadly one…

Something drastic has happened in Morganville while Claire and her friends were away. The town looks cleaner and happier than they’ve ever seen it before, but when their incoming group is arrested and separated—vampires from humans—they realize that the changes definitely aren’t for the better.

It seems that an organization called the Daylight Foundation has offered the population of Morganville something they’ve never had: hope of a vampire-free future. And while it sounds like salvation—even for the vampires themselves—the truth is far more sinister and deadly.

Now, Claire, Shane and Eve need to find a way to break their friends out of Daylighter custody, before the vampires of Morganville meet their untimely end…

Here we are. I feel incredibly nostalgic and bittersweet writing this review. In a way I feel like it's the end of an era. Very rarely do I stick with such a long series and I've been reading this one for the past 8 years. I started Glass Houses in 2010 and I never thought the series would be so long, or so incredible. I can't believe the series is over and I am both incredible sad and incredibly happy because it's been one hell of a ride and I've loved every moment of it.

Daylighters picks up exactly where Fall of Night ended. With Claire and co back in Morganville but it's a very different Morganville. The Daylighters have taken over and captured the vampires. It seems like a good thing but it's very dark and sinister. Can Claire, Shane and Eve upset the safety that the other humans have gained and save their vampire friends? And is it really the right thing to do?

Daylighters was such a fast-paced and epic conclusion to the Morganville Vampires series. Honestly, I wasn't sure how Rachel Caine was going to do it. How do you give a good, satisfying ending for both the vampires and humans? I didn't know... but she did it perfectly! This book was action packed and was definietly a page turner. I am honestly in awe of Rachel Caine. She is such a fantastic author and not only did she continue a series for 15 books without it even feeling like you'd read that many but she gave it a brilliant and perfect ending.

Morganville Vampires will always remain as one of my all-time favourite series. I loved everything about it. The storyline was completely original and the characters were brilliant. I can't believe it's over but it's one I know I will re-read in the future. If you haven't read this series, I know it's daunting seeing that there are 15 books and usually I wouldn't touch that as it's too big... but this series is an exception and I highly, highly recommend this amazing series. Try it... you won't be disappointed.

"Because it's not right to judge a class of people by the actions of one, or a few. That's not justice. It's prejudice, and I don't like it. Justice means judging each person individually."
