I read and loved the first two books in the Snow Like Ashes series years ago when they first released. I was even lucky enough to get an ARC of the final book but I just never came around to reading it. One of the reasons was I just wasn't ready to say goodbye to this world and the characters. Now I am sat four years after the release of the final book writing this review. I have a huge challenge at the moment of catching up on all of my unfinished series as as it had been so long since I have read the first two books I decided I'd start with the novellas of the series as I hadn't read them.
Icicles Like Kindling was a super short novella set years before Snow Like Ashes. It really showed an insight into the characters and their relationships and friendships before the events of the series. It was a great way of reminding me of these characters and this world and I enjoyed it. Even though it was super short, I was so involved and invested in these characters and I can't wait to read the final book in this amazing series.

After I devoured Icicles Like Kindling, the novella set before the events of book one of the Snow Like Ashes series I dived right into Flames Like Vines. Flames like Vines is a novella set in between books two and three of the Snow Like Ashes series and I really enjoyed this one. It's fast-paced and action packed and follows the story of Ceridwen, a smaller character from the main series.
I loved seeing Ceridwen's story and it made me love her so much more. This novella gave me more insight into the summer court and one of the villains of the series. My hatred for Simon deepened so much in this novella but my love with Ceridwen grew. I can't wait to finally read the final book in this series and see how it all ends for everyone.
