From Goodreads:"What was it with people always trying to kill me in the library? Nickamedes so needed to put up warning signs. Danger: Working here could be hazardous to your health."
For a moment, a face flashed before my eyes—the most hideous face I’d ever seen. No matter how hard I tried to forget what had happened, I saw him everywhere I went. It was Loki—the evil god that I’d helped set free against my will.
I should have known that my first official date with Logan Quinn was destined to end in disaster. If we’d gotten into a swordfight, or been ambushed by Reapers, I’d have been more prepared. But getting arrested mid-sip at the local coffee hangout? I didn’t see that one coming.
I’ve been accused of purposely helping the Reapers free Loki from his prison—and the person leading the charge against me is Linus Quinn, Logan’s dad. The worst part is that pretty much everyone at Mythos Academy thinks I’m guilty. If I’m going to get out of this mess alive, I’ll have to do it myself…
Crimson Frost picked up right where we left off, with Loki free and Gwen having been one of the only ones to witness it. This book was absolutely everything that I ever could have imagined it to be. It was action-packed and I could not put it down, I ended up devouring it in less than a day.
Gwen Frost is forgetting all of the crap that has happened, forgetting that Loki is free, and going on her first official date with Logan Quinn. The last that they both expected was for Gwen to be arrested. The Protectorate is certain that Gwen was the one that freed Loki and now Gwen and her friends need to do everything to show them what really happened that fateful night. But when Loki's champion intervenes again Gwen clearing her name is the least f her problems.
Crimson Frost was possibly the best book of the series to date. I absolutely loved every moment of it. From the drama of Gwen being accused to the action and heartbreak of Loki and The Reapers coming back and wreaking havoc, I couldn't put this book down.
This installment had me on an emotional rollercoaster from the heartwarming moments between Gwen and Logan to the heartbreak of the ending. Crimson Frost had the mother of all cliffhangers and Jennifer Estep once again left me heartbroken in tears. I cannot wait to continue this series of mythology, action and romance. I love it.
"No matter what happens I'll always come back to you."
