Top 10 of 2018: Books I Wish I'd Made Time For

Hey Guys,
It's that time of the year again! Time for the yearly wrap up. I cannot believe how fast this year has gone. I feel like it was only a few weeks ago that I was writing my wrap up posts for 2017.

~ Top 10 Books I Wish I'd Made Time To Read ~

10. DC Icons Series

I've cheated a little bit here by picking two books rather than one. I absolutely love everything superhero and I have had Wonder Woman on my shelf for ages and got Catwoman in one of my Illumicrates this year. I really wish I had got these read this year.

9. Five Years From Now by Paige Toon

I have been a huge Paige Toon fan for years. She was actually one of the first authors I read that made me love reading and want to start blogging. I have devoured every single book that she has wrote but I just didn't manage to fit in her new one this year. This is high on the TBR for next year.

8. The Darkest Legacy (The Darkest Minds #4) by Alexandra Bracken

After hearing about the movie I dived into this series this year and managed to finish the first 3 books in this series. I was planning to finish off the series and unfortunately just never got around to reading the final book. Next year I am challenging myself to finish as many of my ongoing series as I can so this one will definitely be on the list.

7. Furyborn (Empirium #1) by Claire LeGrand

Furyborn is one of the 2018 releases that I really wish I had read. It's an epic fantasy book and those are just my absolute favourites. In addition to this, this year I read Claire LeGrand's Sawkill Girls and really enjoyed it. Considering that was not a typical genre I read and I really liked it stands her in good stead for a book that is my favourite genre.

6. The Cruel Prince (Folk of the Air #1) by Holly Black

I love Holly Black! I adore her. I met her a few years ago and she is just one of the coolest people I have had the pleasure to meet. Now when I saw she had this fantasy novel out, I couldn't wait for it. And then I heard all of the amazing things about it and I couldn't wait even more. I bought this one in January... and I just never got around to picking it up *sad face*

5. Legendary (Caraval #2) by Stephanie Garber

I read Caraval immediately after it's release and just loved everything about it. I couldn't wait for Legendary and had it pre-ordered and everything. I just never got around to it and now I'm at the same time wishing I had read it this year but also thinking I may wait until the final book is closer to release before diving into this one.

4. Shadowsong (Wintersong #2) by S Jae Jones

Shadowsong is very similar to Legendary. I read Wintersong pretty soon after its release and I absolutely adored it. It was brilliant and I couldn't wait for Shadowsong to release. I don't really know why I didn't fit it in this year but it is definitely on the list for early next year as part of my finish-the-series challenge.

3. Ash Princess (Ash Princess #1) by Laura Sebastian

I really can't explain why this is still sat on my unread shelf. Ash Princess was actually in my wrap ups last year as one of the 2018 books I couldn't wait for. This sounds like everything that I would love in a book and I'm super sad I never got around to it. This is high on my TBR.

2. Smoke in the Sun (Flame in the Mist #2) by Renee Ahdieh

This is another one that was on my list last year as one of my most anticipated 2018 releases. I devoured Flame in the Mist last year and it was one of my all-time favourite reads. I adored it and couldn't wait for Smoke in the Sun. I'm not entirely sure why I never got around to it but once again this is on my must-read list!

1. A Curse So Dark and Lonely by Brigid Kemmerer

This one is probably a bit of a cheat one as this is not actually published yet. But, I've had the ARC of this gorgeous book on my shelf since July when I was very lucky to be sent it... and I just never got around to reading it. I am aiming to read this one before it's release at the end of January. I absolutely adore Brigid's books and I cannot wait to read it.

What books did you wish you'd made time for this year?
