From Goodreads:
The Fault in Our Stars meets Eleanor and Park in this exhilarating and heart-wrenching love story about a girl who learns to live from a boy who intends to die.
Theodore Finch is fascinated by death, and he constantly thinks of ways he might kill himself. But each time, something good, no matter how small, stops him.

Violet Markey lives for the future, counting the days until graduation, when she can escape her Indiana town and her aching grief in the wake of her sister’s recent death.

When Finch and Violet meet on the ledge of the bell tower at school, it’s unclear who saves whom. And when they pair up on a project to discover the “natural wonders” of their state, both Finch and Violet make more important discoveries: It’s only with Violet that Finch can be himself—a weird, funny, live-out-loud guy who’s not such a freak after all. And it’s only with Finch that Violet can forget to count away the days and start living them. But as Violet’s world grows, Finch’s begins to shrink.

All the Bright Places is a book I have had on my TBR for what feels like forever. I have heard such amazing things about this book and I was super excited to finally read it. Honestly... I didn't really like it that much. It is in no way a bad book. I liked the characters and the writing style, it just didn't have the 'must-read' quality that I'm looking for in books.

This is the second book about suicide that I've tried to read and didn't enjoy. It's already a really horrible subject matter to read about and honestly this made me feel a little bit uncomfortable. I didn't find the story very realistic if I'm honest and although the writing style and characterisation was good, it really affected my ability to enjoy this book. I got to about 52% and then I just had no motivation or want to continue the book.

I will definitely pick up one of Jennifer's other books because her writing style was fantastic. Unfortunately this one just wasn't for me.
