From Goodreads:
The third super hot, super fun Jessie Jefferson novel from internationally bestselling author, Paige Toon.

Is the life of a famous rockstar's daughter all it's cracked up to be? And what about dating your fellow band-member just as you hit the bigtime?
Jessie is still getting used to being a celebrity, and the daughter of one of the world’s biggest rock stars. With her own music career on the rise, a gorgeous love interest and a fun group of friends, it seems Jessie’s glamorous LA life couldn’t get any better . . . but things are about to get really complicated.

There are no words to explain how much I loved this third and final book in the Jessie Jefferson series. I am so glad that I waited to start this series when all of the books are out because I loved being able to binge read the whole series.

Jessie Jefferson has been on quite a journey. From finding out her real dad is superstar rock singer Johnny Jefferson, to getting used to being famous herself to being the front woman of an up and coming rock band. Her life has changed dramatically and I loved following her story throughout the trilogy. It was such an incredible read.

Before starting this series I loved Paige Toon. She was my favourite chick lit author and the reason I am such a big reader now but from reading this series she has shown that she can write just about anything. I'd absolutely love to see Paige try her hand at another genre, like fantasy or paranormal or dystopia or something. That would be awesome. Paige's writing is stunning, addictive and funny and I absolutely loved every moment of it.

I love the characters, the story and absolutely everything about this book. One of my favourite things was seeing Meg and Johnny and their family. I loved their own novels so much and it was amazing to see that. One thing I adore about Paige's books is that they all interlink together and it's amazing. I'd love to see Paige write a book about Lottie and Brandan as they need their own story.

I loved All About The Hype so much. It was a perfect ending to a perfect series, and one that I will re-read again and again. I can't recommend Paige's books enough and I can't wait to see what she comes up with next. If you're wanting a book that will steal your heart then this is the one for you. It's stunning and phenomenal. A must read for everyone.

From Goodreads:
Jessie Jefferson's dad is a global superstar. But life as the secret daughter of a world-famous rock god isn't easy. After a whirlwind summer in LA, with celebrity parties and a certain hot guitarist to keep her occupied, Jessie's finding it hard to work out who she is. And who she wants...

The world's press is closing in, and LA is calling. How long can Jessie keep her secret life hidden?

Summer may be over, but this story's just beginning...

Paige Toon is without a doubt one of my all time favourite authors. I absolutely love her and I've been on such a Paige Toon binge read lately. I devoured all of her adult books that I had left to read and finally turned onto her YA series. Ever since I first heard about this series I was so excited but decided to wait until it was complete so I could binge read it. And I am so, so glad that I did. I Knew You Were Trouble was just as addicting as the first novel in the series and I couldn't put it down.

Jessie has had the time of her life over the summer with her rockstar dad in LA. But now she is back in England and back to school and nobody knows who she really is. But as the press start to get closer to discovering the identify of Johnny Jefferson's daughter Jessie has to decide who she is and what she wants.

Jessie was so great to read about and follow through this novel. She has gone on such a journey since hte beginning of the first book. She has gone from wild child who is coping with her mothers death to a mature and wonderful young woman. I loved reading about her and I loved seeing what she was going through. Once again we have the love triangle of Jessie, hottest-guy-in-school Tom and gorgeous rockstar Jack. I like Tom enough he is a super sweet guy and I did love the parts with him and Jessie but man he has nothing on Jack. Jack is just awsome and perfect and his and Jessie's relationship kind of reminded my of the early days of Johnny and Meg's relationship and I freaking love Johnny and Meg. They are awesome.

I Knew You Were Trouble was a stunning and amazing instalment in the Jessie Jefferson series and I loved every moment of it. I couldn't put it down. Paige Toon once again knocked my socks off and made me fall in love with all of her characters. If you're looking for a new series to fall in love with I highly recommend this one. I cannot wait to find out how it all ends in the next book.

2017 Challenges Update:

This year I am challenging myself to:
  • The 2017 Totally Doable Reading Challenge
  • The 2017 Debut Author Challenge
  • The 2017 'Continue a Series' Challenge
The 2017 Totally Doable Reading Challenge:

Woop!! I ticked two off the list this month. I think this is a great start to my challenge!! I read an amazing ARC of Till Death by my fave author of all time Jennifer L Armentrout and I read the other 4 books of the Elementals series that I started years ago! Go me!!

How are you doing on the challenge?

The 2017 Debut Author Challenge

I am so so bad at reading debuts the year they come out so this year I am aiming to read a minimum of 5 of them.

This month I didn't read any debuts *sad face* but hopefully next month.

The 2017 'Continue A Series' Challenge

Another thing I am terrible at is finishing series I started so this year I'm aiming to complete at least 5 ongoing series.

I don't know if it's cheating counting this towards two challenges but hey... I read 4 of these books this month so I think I can right? I completed The Elementals Series by Brigid Kemmerer. 😁

From Goodreads:
Meet Jessie, small-town girl turned wild child ... Jessie has never known her real dad, and when her mum dies she thinks any hope of finding him is gone. As she goes off the rails, her stepdad announces that her father is Johnny Jefferson - legendary rockstar and former hell-raiser. Still dealing with her loss, and now the daughter of a superstar, Jessie is sucked into the LA lifestyle - paparazzi, parties and hot guitar-wielding boys included. But is Johnny up to the job? And, more importantly, is Jessie?

There are no words to describe just how excited I was to hear about this book when it was first announced. I am a huge fan of Paige Toon's books, having read every single one of her adult books. My favourites are her first two novels, one of which was Johnny Be Good. I absolutely adore reading about Johnny and Meg and so to have a YA series as a spin off of their books I couldn't wait to get my hands on it. I can't really explain why I waited so long to read a book I was so excited for but I am now kicking myself for not reading it sooner. It was so good. However, now I can binge read the entire series so it's not all bad.

Jessie has had a hell of a 6 months. Her mother suddenly and unexpectedly passed away and with her Jessie's hope of ever knowing who her biological father was. She turns into the resident wild child with smoking, alcohol and partying her main focusses of life. But then she finds out her step father knows who her biological dad is. Suddenly Jessie is on her way to meet her father and his family, the one and only Johnny Jefferson, legendary rock god and former bad-boy. Her life is thrown upside down.

I loved this book. Like loved, loved, loved it. I haven't read any of the books including Johnny and Meg for a while and I really forgot how much I loved their books. I do think I appreciated this book so much more because I had read the books about Johnny and Meg before hand. Even if you are not a fan of adult chick lit books I would really recommend reading Johnny Be Good, Baby Be Mine and Johnny's Girl before reading this series because they are so worth it and make you appreciate the characters so much more. I really forgot how much I loved them and reading this made me really want to re-read those three books again.

Jessie was such a great character to read about. I really loved reading about her and even though she did some questionable actions I still really liked her and I could understand why she acted the way that she did. I loved seeing her change so much throughout the book. You see her go from this insane wild chid who just wants to drink and smoke and party her pain away to seeing a more vulnarable side to her when she meets Johnny and his family. I loved seeing that evolution of her and I love her as a main character.

Now the boys, as always in Paige Toon books and certainly in YA books we have the love interests. I really like both boys. Tom is the normal guy back home who Jessie really likes and he is quite adorable. He is sweet and was there for her throughout her breakdowns about her mother's death and I really liked him. Then we met Jack, lead guitarist in hot new band All Hype in LA. He is the epitome of the party bad boy but I loved him so much. He is a sweet guy and I really loved him, even if he is a bit of a womaniser. I ship Jessie and Jack so hard 😍💓

The Accidental Life of Jessie Jefferson was everything that I wanted and more. I adored every single moment of it and I am so excited to read the next book in the series. I absolutely love this book and I couldn't recommend it enough. If you're looking for a new series to read this is it. And if you're a fan of Paige Toon books already, what the heck are you waiting for. Go read this now. It's filled to the brim with romance, drama and rock music. A definite must read.
