From Goodreads:
A blood war rages on the streets of Chicago.

Protected by an infamous mafia family, Sophie is living a dangerous lie, pretending to lead a normal life. But the deceit can’t last for ever. Her heart belongs to a killer and Sophie’s the prime target of a rival clan. She’s determined to seek revenge on her mother’s murderers, but can she pay the price – can she be a mafiosa?

The third and final instalment in the explosive YA Blood for Blood series which started with Vendetta and Inferno.

"Allowing yourself to be vulnerable does not make you weak, it makes you strong. It makes you brave."

Mafiosa is the final book in the Blood for Blood series and I could not be more sad about it. I have gone from someone who was unsure about the series to never wanting it to end because I love it so, so much. After the ending of Inferno, I couldn't wait to read the finale of this series and it was perfect, yet utterly heartbreaking.

Sophie's life is in more danger than ever before. Living with the Falcone's she is the number one target of a rival mafia family. She has to choose whether to run and be safe or fight alongside the family she has grown to love. But can she actually find it in herself to kill someone? Can she be a mafiosa?

Mafiosa was the most incredible finale to a series I have ever read. From the moment I read the very first word I couldn't put the book down and I devoured it in mere hours. Every spare second of the day I had my nose in this book. It was utterly perfect, yet it broke my heart into little pieces.

The finale of this series is definitely the most emotional. I was so emotionally invested in this story and in Luca and Sophie. I just kept reading so I could see them finally admitting their feelings for each other, and although it took forever (almost 300 pages people!!!) it was worth every single second. Luca is just such a sweetie and the more I read the more I fell head over heels in love with him. He is just incredible.

Mafiosa was perfect... but it totally broke me. I sobbed like a baby... and I mean like ugly crying... I could not breath from crying. I was a total mess! Although Catherine made me cry like a baby, I am in such awe of her incredible writing talent. She is totally amazing and I will definitely be picking up anything else she writes. Although she broke me she also gave me the most perfect ending I could have possibly ever wished for this series.

Mafiosa was beautiful and perfect and I loved every single moment of it. I am super sad that this series is over, and I am praying that Catherine decides to write a fourth book surrounding Nicoli as I really want to see what happened after this.

The Blood for Blood series is utterly incredible and I would recommend it to anyone. Even if you think it doesn't sound like your sort of thing I urge you to give it a go. I didn't think it would be my sort of book and I adored every single second of it and I will definitely be re-reading this series over and over again.

"I would go into the darkness with you, but you won't come into the light with me."
