From Goodreads:
Many readers know the tale of Robin Hood, but they will be swept away by this new version full of action, secrets, and romance.

Posing as one of Robin Hood’s thieves to avoid the wrath of the evil Thief Taker Lord Gisbourne, Scarlet has kept her identity secret from all of Nottinghamshire. Only the Hood and his band know the truth: the agile thief posing as a whip of a boy is actually a fearless young woman with a secret past. Helping the people of Nottingham outwit the corrupt Sheriff of Nottingham could cost Scarlet her life as Gisbourne closes in.

It’s only her fierce loyalty to Robin—whose quick smiles and sharp temper have the rare power to unsettle her—that keeps Scarlet going and makes this fight worth dying for.

Scarlet is one of those books that I was dying to get my hands on but after I got it it just sat on my shelf for forever unread. After reading this book I cannot believe I took so long before reading this. It was absolutely amazing. It was way better than I could have ever expected and I cannot wait to continue with this series.

Will Scarlet is part of Robin Hood's band of merry men. Trying to help the people fro the horrible reign of Prince John they steal from the rich to give to the poor. But what the people don't know is Will Scarlet, one of Robin's best men is actually a woman. When a new threat comes to town in the form of a thief hunter, Scarlet is faces with the past that she has tried her best to forget. Faced with that, and her growing feelings for Rob, Scarlet must make a decision about giving into her heart or saving her band of brothers.

Scarlet was one of the most surprising books for me. I was definitely not expecting to love it quite as much as I did. I have always loved YA Retellings but I never really thought of a Robin Hood one as something I will love but my god did I love it. I was right there in Sherwood Forest living all of this out along with Scarlet. I absolutely loved all of the characters, and I loved all of the twists and turns throughout the novel.

Scarlet was filled to the brim with heart-stopping action with tastes of breathtaking romance. This is such a perfect first start to what's set to be a phenomenal series. I cannot wait to continue this series.
