Hey guys,
Welcome to my stop on the Inspire blog tour. I am so excited to be on the blog tour for this as Cora is one of my all time favourite authors. Keep reading for my review of Inspire, but first let me tell you a bit about the book.
Inspire (Muse #1)
Cora Carmack

Date Read: December 14, 2014
Genre: NA - Paranormal Romance
Source: eARC from InkSlingrPR
Format: E-Book

From Goodreads:
Kalliope lives with one purpose.
To inspire.
As an immortal muse, she doesn’t have any other choice. It’s part of how she was made. Musicians, artists, actors—they use her to advance their art, and she uses them to survive. She moves from one artist to the next, never staying long enough to get attached. But all she wants is a different life— a normal one. She’s spent thousands of years living lie after lie, and now she’s ready for something real.
Sweet, sexy, and steady, Wilder Bell feels more real than anything else in her long existence. And most importantly… he’s not an artist. He doesn’t want her for her ability. But she can’t turn off the way she influences people, not even to save a man she might love. Because in small doses, she can help make something beautiful, but her ability has just as much capacity to destroy as it does to create. The longer she stays, the more obsessed Wilder will become. It’s happened before, and it never turns out well for the mortal.
Her presence may inspire genius.
But it breeds madness, too.
~ My Review ~
Inspire is one of those books that as soon as I heard about it I couldn't wait to get my hands on. I've been an enormous fan of Cora Carmack's since I got an ARC of her debut novel Losing It and I devoured it in one sitting. I absolutely loved it. To hear she was writing a Paranormal Romance and it would be NA... I was so freaking excited. And Inspire was not a disappointment.
Inspire was everything I could have hoped for and more. It was sexy, romantic and action-packed. I knew before picking up that I would probably love this book. I have an enormous love for all things Mythology, especially Greek Mythology so discovering this was paranormal with mythology entangled into it... it's like this book was made for me. It was perfect.
Kali is such a fantastic heroine. I loved her right from the start. She was so awesome. And a Muse. A character right out of mythology... but she hates mythology. This made me love her so much more. She was sweet, cool and kick-ass. My three things I love in a main protagonist. Enter Wilder. The most awesome, amazing, sweetest and hottest book boyfriend you can ever imagine. He was a perfect mix of good guy and bad boy which made me love him even more. I adored them both.
Inspire had a bit of a slow start for me. I am very much an action and plot-driven reader and the first half of this book is a lot of world building and building the chemistry between the characters. It was necessary to get us to love the characters but my enjoyment of this book didn't really properly start until the action and plot kicked in around halfway through and then holy crap this book was awesome!
Cora did it again. She delivered with a fantastically wonderful, sweet, sexy and daring novel. I really liked this book and I know that the second book is going to be even better. I am already dying to get my hands on book 2. Inspire was fantastic and any fan of Cora's will adore it. A fantastic start to a new, highly addictive series.

~ About Cora ~
Cora Carmack is a twenty-something writer who likes to write about twenty-something characters. She's done a multitude of things in her life-- boring jobs (like working retail), Fun jobs (like working in a theatre), stressful jobs (like teaching), and dream jobs (like writing). She enjoys placing her characters in the most awkward situations possible, and then trying to help them get a boyfriend out of it. Awkward people need love, too. Her first book, LOSING IT, was a New York Times and USA Today bestseller.
So glad you liked this. I really liked it so much! Cora always delivers for me. Great review!
