Breaking The Rules (Pushing the Limits #5)
Katie McGarry

Genre: YA - Contemporary Romance
From Goodreads:
A summer road trip changes everything in this unforgettable new tale from acclaimed author Katie McGarry.

For new high school graduate Echo Emerson, a summer road trip out west with her boyfriend means getting away and forgetting what makes her so . . . different. It means seeing cool sights while selling her art at galleries along the way. And most of all, it means almost three months alone with Noah Hutchins, the hot, smart, soul-battered guy who's never judged her. Echo and Noah share everything--except the one thing Echo's just not ready for.

But when the source of Echo's constant nightmares comes back into her life, she has to make some tough decisions about what she really wants--even as foster kid Noah's search for his last remaining relatives forces them both to confront some serious truths about life, love, and themselves.

Now, with one week left before college orientation, jobs and real life, Echo must decide if Noah's more than the bad-boy fling everyone warned her he'd be. And the last leg of an amazing road trip will turn . . . seriously epic.

I always imagine Noah working at a place like Steak & Shake

I wipe the sweat forming on my forehead then flip the six frying patties. For the past two hours, the orders have poured in nonstop, and the heat radiating from the grill has me wondering if most of the girls I screwed got their wish and I did die and was sentenced straight to hell.
I always imagined Noah working at a place like Steak & Shake. I can’t tell you how many times in high school my best friend and I would watch the cute guy flipping the burgers from the stools on the other side of the counter. Noah—he’s that cute guy.

Noah is able to work in BREAKING THE RULES through an employee travel program. I had a friend in college who spent a year traveling the US by being a waiter through his company’s travel program. I always thought that was such an amazing opportunity so I gave this to Noah.

Her amazing relatable writing, lovable characters, that over time have become like my true friends, and I always stalk them to see if there's more of their story.
