Worth The Risk by Robin Bielman

Pubication Date:April 25, 2012

From Goodreads:
Their love was ancient history...until their paths crossed again.

Samantha Bennett put Dean Malloy out of her mind five years ago, when he broke her heart after a summer fling. But now he's back in her life, and ready to steal a heritage protection contract that could make or break her career--if he doesn't steal her heart first. Samantha's vowed to hate him, but it's more than anger heating the competition between them.

With sparks flying across the conference table and sizzling in every touch, Dean proposes a weekend liaison. Anything to have Sam again; anything to get her out of his system. But the unresolved feelings between them complicate both their personal and professional lives, and one wild weekend could turn into a disaster that would destroy the one job that means more to Samantha than anything. For a shot at it worth the risk?

So I am super excited to welcome Robin to the blog today to talk about her amazing new book!

K-Books: Hi Robin, thanks for taking the time out to be on K-Books today.

Robin: Thanks so much for having me, Kayleigh! I'm so happy to be here to talk about Worth The Risk!

So, Worth The Risk has recently been released. How do you feel about having this story out there?

Happy. Excited. Nervous. It's a dream come true to have my first book published. I love my story so much I love Sam and Dean. And I hope other people will, too.

I absolutely loved it. I have read it twice now and I seriously can't get enough. Where did you get the inspiration for this story from?

Thank you, Kayleigh! I am so happy you loved it! The story started with Dean. One of my favourite magazines is Outside and I was reading an article about the best jobs when one on heritage protection caught my attention. It sounded like an awesome career. I decided right there and then I was going to write a story about a guy with that job. A guy filled with wanderlust and who loved the environment more than anything else. Then I came up with Samantha - the girl from his past that he's never forgotten, and who makes him rethink his bachelor status.

I have to say my favourite character was Dean. I literally fell head over heels in love with him. Was he the most fun of all the characters to write?

Thanks for falling for Dean! (I've got a crush on him, too.) Since he's what sparked the idea for my book, I've got to say yea, he was the most fun to write. He's loyal, protective, passionare about the environment and preserving history, and is a total adventure junkie. I wanted to make him larger than life, but approachable, and when he comes face to face with Sam again and she immediately makes his feel things, well, his vulnerability rises to the surface, too.

Is there any chance you would write another book about Dean? *please say yes please say yes*

You are so sweet to ask that! Right now, I don't think so. However, I recently finished a second novella that features McCall, the other hotshot environmentalist I introduced in Worth The Risk, and there's a scene in that book with Dean and Sam.

Well, I'll take whatever I can get ;)
And finally what can we expect to see from you in the future?

I hope you'll get to read McCall's story next. I've paired him with the perfect girl to mess up his life - the widow of his best friend - and had a wonderful time writing it. I'm also writing more novellas and I write YA too. So hopefully in the future you'll see both adult and young adult stories from me!

I can't wait to read whatever you come up with next. You've defintiely made my list of favourite authors now. Thanks so much for taking the time to be on K-Books today.
